This guinomi was wheel-thrown by Taiga Mori in his Bizen workshop. Its rounded shape is adorned with several horizontal ridges, created in the wall during the shaping process.
Rather than aiming for a perfectly smooth surface, Taiga Mori here retains the traces of his hand. The ridges give the piece a particular presence in the hand and rhythm its silhouette.
Wood-firing reveals the nuances of the clay, with a dark surface punctuated by brown tones and lighter variations. Traditionally used for sake tasting, this guinomi can also be used for tea.
