This matcha comes from Uji, Kyoto, one of Japan's historic tea regions. It is sourced from Uji Hōsui-en, a company that has been working with teas from the region for several generations.
Hakuju (白寿), whose name means "99 years," offers a fine texture and a balanced expression. As with all matcha, its preparation plays an essential role in the result in the cup. Whisked with a chasen, it gradually reveals its aromas and texture.
