Thrown in Bizen and fired in Taiga Mori’s wood-burning kiln, this piece is a Tadaima creation that explores the textures and contrasts characteristic of Bizen ceramics.
On the upper section, the relief ornaments are inspired by the traditional patterns of Atsuo Mori’s work, complemented by *hidasuki* effects achieved using rice straw during the firing process.
Designed to accompany daily rituals, it invites you to savor both tea and coffee in a piece where the work of the hand dialogues with the effects of wood firing.

Expertise
Atelier Tadaima
Tadaima is a project dedicated to Japanese handcrafted ceramics and everyday objects.
Born from several trips to Japan, the project stems from a curiosity for ceramics, and more specifically for the chawan, whose presence in daily Japanese life gradually led me towards tea, matcha, and the world surrounding them.
