This Shin chasen is handmade by Hochikuen, a historic Takayama company in Nara Prefecture. Its production relies on meticulous bamboo work, resulting in fine and regular prongs suitable for matcha preparation.

Its traditional shape allows for precise whisking of the tea and working the matcha until a homogeneous texture is achieved. Its finish reveals the full subtlety of the handcraftsmanship.
