This guinomi was wheel-thrown by Taiga Mori in his studio in Bizen. Its compact and slightly irregular shape reveals the artisan's touch in the softness of its contours.
Its reddish-brown surface is punctuated by dark marks and golden hues, particularly visible around the rim and on the sides. These golden drips appear naturally during wood-firing, when the ashes deposited on the piece react with its surface under the effect of heat.
Intended for sake tasting, this guinomi can also be used for tea and offers a warm presence in the hand.
