This Kazuho chasen is handcrafted by Hochikuen, a historic house in Takayama, Nara Prefecture. With its 60 to 70 stronger prongs and their slightly curved tips, it offers a balance between strength and flexibility.
Its versatile construction is suitable for preparing both usucha and koicha. It allows for a fine foam for usucha and a denser, more homogeneous texture for koicha.
